How to Install

From clean download to your first character in under 10 minutes.

1. Download the Interlude client
Grab the full Lineage II Interlude client from the Downloads page. Install it to a folder outside Program Files (e.g. C:\Games\L2Survivor) so Windows won't block file writes.
2. Apply the Survivor patch
Extract the Survivor patch archive on top of the client folder and overwrite when asked. This adds the custom system files, textures and updated UI.
3. Create your account
Accounts are created automatically the first time you log in from the game client — just type a username and password on the login screen and it's yours. No website registration or email verification required.
4. Launch the game
Run system\l2.exe (not l2.bin). If Windows SmartScreen warns, click More info → Run anyway. Log in with your website credentials.
5. First 5 minutes in-game
Type .menu for the player panel, .buff for scheme buffs, and .offline to enable offline shop. New characters get a starter pack in the inventory.

Tank (Dark Avenger / Paladin / Shillien Knight / Temple Knight)
Frontliner

Aggro control, siege leader, protects backline in mass PvP.

  • Highest HP pool
  • Aggression skills
  • Shield stun / Chain heal utility
Weakness: Low solo damage — needs a party to shine.
Warrior (Duelist / Dreadnought / Titan / Gladiator)
Melee DPS

Burst damage windows with Frenzy / Zealot. Great for open-field PvP.

  • Huge single-target burst
  • Self-buffs
  • Cheap to gear
Weakness: Squishy once buffs run out; kited by ranged.
Archer (Sagittarius / Moonlight Sentinel / Ghost Sentinel / Trickster)
Ranged DPS

Kite and burst from max range. Best farmer once C-grade bow is unlocked.

  • Consistent DPS
  • Safe farming
  • Insane siege damage
Weakness: Dies fast in melee; heavily buff-dependent.
Mage (Archmage / Mystic Muse / Storm Screamer / Soultaker)
Ranged Nuker

AoE farming from level 40. Wipes zerg groups with Blizzard / Hurricane.

  • Best AoE farm
  • Massive burst on cloth targets
  • Utility skills (root, silence)
Weakness: Needs MP potions and premium buffs to sustain.
Support (Elven Elder / Shillien Elder / Bishop / Cardinal)
Healer / Buffer

Keeps party alive, resurrects, dispels debuffs. Mandatory in Olympiad parties and sieges.

  • Highest survivability with prophet buffs
  • Party-defining utility
  • Fast to level via .buff scheme
Weakness: Low solo damage; priority target for enemies.
Dagger (Adventurer / Wind Rider / Ghost Hunter / Fortune Seeker)
Assassin

Stealth, Backstab burst, then vanish. Picks off healers and mages.

  • One-shot potential on cloth
  • Escape tools
  • Best duelist class
Weakness: Very gear-dependent; useless without crit rate.
Summoner (Arcana Lord / Elemental Master / Spectral Master)
Pet DPS

Send pet to tank, self-buff, drain HP/MP. Strong solo farmer and Olympiad pick.

  • Self-sufficient
  • Great in 1v1
  • Utility (transfer pain, silence)
Weakness: Loses the pet = loses the fight. Manage pet HP.
